WORSHIP COMMISSION
Mission Statement

The Worship Commission provides direction to the liturgical life of the parish, as well as fostering a promoting the spiritual growth of all parishioners, enabling them to understand what it means to be a baptized Catholic Christian.

The following committees and ministries assist the Worship Commission in fulfilling its mission:
Liturgy Planners: plan the weekend Masses for the various seasons, all the liturgical ministries and prayer services outside of Mass.
Music Ministry: provides music for liturgies and encourages worshiper participation; it is composed of various vocal and instrumental groups as well as youth and children’s choirs.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: serve the Body and Blood of Our Lord to fellow worshipers at all Masses; also minister to the needs of people unable to attend Sunday Mass by bringing them God’s word and his sacrament.
Lectors Ministry: trained lectors proclaim the Word to God’s people. Through prayerful preparation and oral interpretation, the lector opens up the meaning of Scripture to the members of the congregation.
Hospitality: ushers and greeters for liturgical services.
Environment: coordinate liturgical decorations for seasons and feast days.
Altar Servers: youth volunteers, who are fifth-grade and older, trained and scheduled to serve Mass.
Sacristans: coordinate ministers at weekend liturgies and assist in setting up for Mass.
Funeral Servers: assist and serve at funeral liturgies.
