EVANGELIZATION COMMITTEE
Are you an outgoing person who enjoys interacting with others by sharing faith experiences, engaging conversations, and other fun activities?  If so, then the Evangelization Committee at St. Michael’s might be the ministry for you!  Here’s more about who we are and what we do…

The purpose of the Evangelization Committee is to provide support, resources, and opportunities for parishioners and non-parishioners to strengthen and to become more informed about the Catholic faith.

The committee is currently comprised of about a dozen fun-loving people, all of whom are excited about sharing their faith experience with each other and with the community.

The primary goals of the committee are to celebrate the cultural diversity among our group and community members, present St. Michael’s to the rest of the community in a positive and friendly manner, provide opportunities for fellowship and faith-building activities, and to welcome new or former parishioners.

The committee meets at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.  Meetings are usually about an hour in length and are filled with humor, prayer, and the necessary business for the month.

Some of the activities that the Evangelization Committee hosts or helps sponsor include:

parish missions (usually in Lent and/or Advent)
a monthly table to welcome new parishioners at weekend masses
sending congratulatory mass cards to all those baptized or married at St. Michael’s
Lenten soup suppers
pilgrimages to regional attractions such as the Stations of the Cross at San Luis or           the Cabrini Shrine in Denver
culturally diverse music at weekend masses (such as Mariachi or Slovenian)
an information booth at the annual Fiddler on the Arkansas festival
coffee and donuts after weekend masses for fellowship
parish potluck dinners
reciting the chaplet and other activities on Divine Mercy Sunday
question and answer sessions about the Catholic faith
