Family Corner
Bury the Alleluia. Suggest that each family member write the word “alleluia” on a sheet of paper (as artistically as they can). Fold papers and have each family member bury one at the bottom of their messiest drawers, toy box, desk, or closet. Have a parent or teenager explain to the rest of the family that the clutter symbolizes the messiness and mistakes we all have in our lives. Invite each family member to go to the main family calendar and make a note as to where they buried their “alleluia” and to remind them all to take the Alleluias out of hiding on Easter Sunday. Connect to Ash Wednesday (February 6, 2008).
