Assisted by Father Jim and Sister Marilyn, the pre-school through 6th grade religious education classes and a few parents and parishioners celebrated the beginning of Advent in the school gym on December 3. After lightning the wheel Advent Wreath a member of each class placed an ornament on the Jesse Tree showing an ancestor of Jesus while an aide or class member read a short explanation of each one's role in Biblical history. Some classes added to the presentation by using costumes or singing or "musical instruments."
